River Rok Pebble Pool finish
Minimum order of 30 Bags if out of South Florida Area.
Natural Pebble Pool Finish
Blends of selected natural aggregates and fortified Portland cement, ideal for new or refinished swimming pools. Available in a variety of colors, River Rok finishes are factory blended to provide the pool owner with an extremely durable and attractive alternative to traditional pool coatings.
•High strength and rapid curing
•Extremely etch resistant
New Pools: Pool surface must be free of dirt, oil grease or other foreign materials. Re-finished pools: SGM Bond Kote is an excellent surface preparation for re-finishing. Lightly moisten walls and floors prior to application of River Rok.
All outside radius on steps, skimmers, spa Dam walls, etc. require a beveled edge or a troweled radius (2” outside radius) to allow for proper thickness on finished product.
Trim tile, accent tiles, murals, etc. must be raised a minimum of ½” to allow for a flush finish.
Any type of rolled beam or beach entry should be done at this stage with same ½” plus tolerances.
MIXING: Thoroughly mix River Rok to a homogeneous lump-free consistency using 2 – 2 ½ gallons of portable water per 80 lb. bag. Mix for approximately 10 minuets.
APPLICATION: River Rok should be applied to a uniform thickness of ½” over the entire surface.
The walls should be scratch coated followed by a finish coat or single coated. Material applied to the floor after the walls have been applied, may be accelerated with Accelerator 100 to assure uniform setting time throughout the pool surface.
AGGREGATE EXPOSURE: Exposure should be performed by Certified River Rok Applicator. Refer to River Rok Installation Manual.
FILL AND BALANCING:
Proper start up techniques must be used to complete a proper installation. Fill pool without interruption with clean, potable water. The use of a filter during the fill is strongly recommended.
First Day: Add a sequestering agent upon initia fill and allow to circulate for 24 hours prior to balancing the pool chemistry.
Second Day: Record the chlorine, pH, total alkalinity, calcium hardness and temperature levels. Adjust pH to 7.2-7.4 and total alkalinity to 80-100 PPM. Dissolve all chemicals in water first and allow sufficient time for each chemical to be fully dispersed before adding the other chemicals. DO NOT ADD CHLORINE OR CALCIUM CHLORIDE. Brush entire surface twice a day for the first 3 days.
Third Day: Repeat same procedures as day two.
Fourth Day: Adjust chemistry to the following levels:
•Free Chlorine: 1.0 -3.0 PPM
•Total Alkalinity: 120 PPM
•Calcium Hardness: 200 - 400 PPM
•Stabilizer: 30-100 PPM
Adjust pump timer to normal operating hours. Do not install automatic pool cleaners for 28 days. Do not vacuum the pool with a wheeled vacuum for 14 days. Brush the pool walls and flood daily for the first 2 weeks.
COVERAGE: Each 80lb.bag will cover approximately 18 sq. ft. to a thickness of ½”. Substrate texture will affect coverage rates. PACKAGING: 4 ply heavy duty poly-lined bad, net wt. 80 lb.
